The Energex Aircon campaign was a direct mail to 376 holiday apartment managers on the Sunshine Coast. The aim was to gain access to apartment buildings in order to assess whether an energy management device could be installed on air conditioning systems in individual apartments. Within the first week Energex had received 80 applications and before long 128 apartment buildings had been registered. A success rate of 34%.
The holiday apartment managers received a direct mail with a message that was hard to (dis)miss. The package consisted of a brochure, a sign-up form and an Energex pen.
When Energex received the sign-up form, a ‘cool rewards – starter pack’ with brochures, letters and sign-up forms for apartment owners was delivered to each apartment manager. He got to keep the esky and the Kool Mints…
